CHRIS BROWN SENTENCING DELAYED...
CHRIS BROWN was supposed to be sentenced yesterday for assaulting RIHANNA. But his sentencing was delayed for THREE WEEKS because of a holdup regarding his punishment. It'll now take place on August 27th.

The judge in Los Angeles...Patricia Schnegg...wants Chris to serve six months of "community labor". And Chris wants to perform that labor in his home state of Virginia.

The judge is cool with that, as long as the punishment is indeed HARD LABOR. And she hasn't heard back from officials in Virginia about what they'd make Chris do.

Judge Schnegg said, quote, "I do not favor community service, I favor something along the lines of [freeway cleanup]."

In his deal with prosecutors, Chris pleaded guilty to felony assault charges. In exchange, he's expected to get his six months of labor...plus five years probation and a year of domestic violence classes.

JAY LENO'S NEW SHOW
JAY LENO offered up some details on the format of his new 10:00 P.M. show...which has been creatively titled, "The Jay Leno Show".

It'll be a more, quote, "fast-paced" show...featuring one celebrity guest per night...two on some occasions.

There will sometimes be musical guests, and often different acts will team up and perform together, like they do at award shows like the Grammys.

Jay will still do his "Jay Walking" and silly newspaper headline bits, but they'll be saved until the very end of the show...and that segment will probably be the only time Jay sits behind a desk.

One regular segment will be something called the "Green Car Challenge", in which celebrities race each other in alternative-fuel vehicles. NBC even built a racetrack next to the studio.

There will also be correspondents doing pre-taped segments. This will include D.L. HUGHLEY reporting on politics from Washington.

"NBC Nightly News" anchor BRIAN WILLIAMS will have a regular segment called "Stories Not Good Enough for Nightly News".

Jay also said he never had any intention of jumping to ABC to compete with CONAN O'BRIEN'S "Tonight Show" when his contract was up.

He said, quote, "There was never any tension between Conan and I. Will we fight like cats and dogs to get the guest? Yes...but that doesn't mean you don't like each other. It's a game. You tease and trash talk, that's the fun part."

As for ratings expectations, Jay said, quote, "Do I expect to beat 'CSI: Miami'? No. Do I expect to beat them in repeats? Yeah. I don't expect to get them on the straights but I can catch them in the corners."

DRAKE MADE A BRIEF RETURN...
DRAKE returned to LIL WAYNE'S tour on Tuesday night in Toronto, Canada...but it was just a one-time thing.

Drake said he had to show up because he's FROM Toronto.

Drake performed briefly during Lil Wayne's set. While he was onstage, he was leaning up against a stool...and afterwards, he walked off with the help of a cane.

LADIES PREFER "REAL MEN" TO METROSEXUALS...
Good news, guys...your days of primping and plucking in order to conform to the "metrosexual" look are over.

At least that's according to a new survey in the UK which found that FOUR in FIVE women actually prefer "real", manly men to "metrosexuals".

ONE in TEN women say they don't mind if their guy is a little overweight, even if he has MAN-BOOBS. Another ONE in TEN say they like the smell of BEER on a man. Meanwhile, ONE in FIVE women say they're actually attracted to guys who have just "a bit of body odor".

Really?! Thoughts ladies?
