TASTY THURSDAY...

...cause I'm hungry at the moment. Here's some shtuff!

JAKE IS TAKING IT SLOW WITH T SWIZZLE? PFFFT...
Everybody knows by now that JAKE GYLLENHAAL and TAYLOR SWIFT are together...even if they won't admit it. But in a new interview with "USA Today", Jake DID talk ever-so-briefly about the relationship.

He said, quote, "It's going to be a long, slow burn for me. I'm not rushing into anything."

Hmm. Interesting.

TOP "RE-TWEETS" (RT) OF 20-10...
In this world of fleeting electronic discourse, perhaps the best longevity a person can hope for is to Tweet something...and have millions of their followers RE-TWEET it.

With that in mind, here are the 10 Most Re-Tweeted Tweets of 2010...

#1.) Stephen Colbert: "In honor of oil-soaked birds, 'tweets' are now 'gurgles'."

#2.) Drake: "We always ignore the ones who adore us, and adore the ones who ignore us."

#3.) Lil Wayne: "Aaaaaaahhhhhhmmmmm baaaaakkkkkkkkkk!" (Posted after he got out of prison, obviously. AMAZING that so many people RT'd this, seriously.)

#4.) Justin Bieber: "Te quiero mucho mi amor." (It means, "I love you very much, my love"...and your daughter will probably tell you it was a message DIRECTLY TO HER.)

#5.) Al-Qaeda: "Just noticed Twitter keeps prompting me to 'Add a location to your tweets.' Not falling for that one." (Obviously not THE Al-Qaeda.)

#6.) Joe Jonas: "I cry because I love Justin Bieber!!!"

#7.) Lady Gaga: "I'm beautiful in my way, 'cause God makes no mistakes. I'm on the right track, baby. I was Born This Way."

#8.) Kanye West: "I'm sorry Taylor."

#9.) Rihanna: "Justin Bieber just flashed me his abs in the middle of a restaurant! Wow! He actually had a lil 6 pack! Sexy, lol! #Beliebersplzdontkillme"

#10.) S#!T My Dad Says: "Don't focus on the one guy who hates you. You don't go to the park and set your picnic down next to the only pile of dog (crap)."

One final note: Nobody said how many times any of these Tweets were re-Tweeted. So...it could be all BS I guess?

NO ROCKSTAR TREATMENT FOR THIS GUY...
DAVE HAYWOOD of LADY ANTEBELLUM is pretty famous. But he refuses to play that card to weasel his way into cool places. He tells AOL.com, "Literally, I do everything in my power to never do that.

"I hate when people do that. It kills me! Honestly, if I walk up somewhere and if they don't know (who I am), I just don't deal with it and I leave. I would rather not do something than do it because I tell them something like that."

"TIME" MAG'S 'PERSON OF THE YEAR'
What do Barack Obama, Adolf Hitler, Ted Turner, and Joseph Stalin have in common with Facebook's founder Mark Zuckerberg?

Besides their desires for WORLD DOMINATION...they're now all members of the "Time" magazine Person of the Year club. Yesterday, you surely heard about 26-year-old Zuckerberg being named the Person of the Year for 2010.

And he broke the news with a Facebook status update. Obviously.

He wrote, "Being named 'Time' Person of the Year is a real honor and recognition of how our little team is building something that hundreds of millions of people want to use to make the world more open and connected. I'm happy to be a part of that."

In 2010, Facebook added its 550 millionth member. One out of every 12 people on EARTH has a Facebook profile. The site accounts for one out of every FOUR page views in the U.S. And the membership goes up 700,000 people PER DAY.

Here is an image of a day's worth of connections done by an intern at FB...

CRAZY!

A good time to tell you to FOLLOW ME if you aren't! www.facebook.com/robbiemackpage

This was also the year that Zuckerberg really became more of a public figure. Even though the movie "The Social Network" was HIGHLY dramatized and inaccurate, it still brought a ton of attention to him and the origin of Facebook.

Zuckerberg's net worth also went over $6 BILLION this year. And...he donated $100 MILLION to Newark, New Jersey public schools and pledged to donate at least half of his wealth to charity.
"Time" didn't just choose him because of his resume...they also chose him for his vision. Zuckerberg has a vision to take the anonymity out of the Internet and make sitting in your room, alone, at your computer a social experience. And it's working.

Zuckerberg is the second-youngest person to win the "Time" award. CHARLES LINDBERGH was the first winner, back in 1927, after his legendary trans-Atlantic flight. He was 25 at the time.

The runners-up to Zuckerberg were the Tea Party...Julian Assange, the man behind Wikileaks...the Chilean miners...and Afghanistan's president Hamid Karzai.

Last year's Person of the Year was the Chairman of the Federal Reserve, Ben Bernanke.

MOST ANNOYING WORDS OR PHRASES...
A team at Marist University in Poughkeepsie, New York just released the results of a poll of the most annoying word or phrase of the year...and "whatever" took the top spot.

39% of Americans picked "whatever."

Miley Cyrus' like favorite word, "Like" came like in like second place, with 28%.

"You know what I mean" came in third, with 15%.

"To tell you the truth" came in fourth, with 10%.

And "actually" came in fifth, with 5%.

The other 3% aren't sure. (Oh WHATEVER. Make up your minds.)

In 2009, "whatever" was also picked as the most annoying word of the year. The rest of the top five from last year was: "you know"..."it is what it is"..."anyway"...and "at the end of the day."

GRINCHES!!!
This is one of those stories that makes you a little bit scared for humanity. Because it's hard for any rational person to understand the mentality behind a crime like THIS.

Yesterday morning, around 4:00 A.M., thieves BURNED DOWN the giant Christmas tree in downtown Birmingham, Alabama...so they could steal the copper wiring that was being used to light it.

Thieves use gasoline to burn off the plastic that covers copper wire...and then sell the copper as scrap metal. The police believe they didn't mean to burn the tree...but when they pulled off the lights and set them on fire, it spread.

The police are still investigating who might've done this.

The tree is 35 feet tall and is an institution in downtown Birmingham. This is the first time anyone's ever damaged it.

City officials initially weren't going to replace the tree but a local radio station kicked in the $7,500 to replace it. (Go Radio!!)

And that'll do it...talk to you tomorrow!
